Retaining walls are affordable and can actually save money in the long run by protecting your landscape and structures from erosion. Pricing for retaining walls is based on the amount of site work, grading, fill, and retaining wall material needed for the project.
We strongly advise against putting a fence on top of your retaining wall, as it can compromise the structural integrity of the wall. Instead, we recommend placing a fence behind the wall. This comes from our nearly two decades of retaining wall installation experience.
There is no law requiring it, but anywhere there is a fall hazard we highly recommend installing a fence along the wall for safety reasons.
