A wood fence can add privacy to your backyard while bringing the warmth and character of natural wood to your property. Whether you want a secluded outdoor space, a clear boundary around your yard, or a beautiful fence that complements your landscaping, partnering with an experienced fence company is essential. At Chesterfield Fence & Deck, we provide professional wood fence installation for homeowners and businesses throughout St. Peters, Missouri, using high-quality materials and custom designs tailored to each property.
Wood fencing gives you plenty of options for adding privacy and defining your outdoor space. A taller fence can separate your yard from neighboring properties and provide more privacy around a patio or pool. Wood fencing can also clearly mark property boundaries or enclose a backyard to keep children and pets safe.
Beyond these practical uses, wood also brings natural warmth and character to your outdoor space. Different heights, layouts, stains, finishes, and design details allow you to coordinate your fence with your home, landscaping, deck, and other exterior features.
A wood fence is exposed to rain, humidity, heat, and freezing temperatures year-round, so it must be made from durable, high-performance materials that can withstand Missouri’s weather. As a trusted wood fence installation company, we use wood fencing materials that are proudly made in the USA and designed for outdoor use. Chesterfield Fence & Deck offers two exceptional options for St. Peters properties: Prestige Cedar Fencing made from Eastern red cedar and Ozark Timber Copperwood.
Eastern red cedar is native to the Ozarks and well suited to Missouri’s climate. Prestige Cedar Fencing is made primarily of heartwood, which resists insects and decay better than sapwood or treated wood. Cedar’s natural oils provide additional protection and help minimize mold, deterioration, and pest infestations while retaining its beautiful, distinctive color. Prestige Cedar Fencing is classified as a lifetime wood and includes a 20-year guarantee.
Ozark Timber Copperwood is another durable wood fencing option. Copperwood is treated with a non-hazardous blend of oil, copper, and naphthenic acid to protect against fungi, pests, and weathering. It also develops character as it ages, transitioning from an initial greenish-brown hue to copper and eventually transitioning to a distinguished silver-gray. Copperwood comes with a 25-year warranty against insect damage, fungal decay, and rot.
Your new fence should complement your home and landscaping. Our team can help you choose the right style, height, layout, colors, and finishes to suit your aesthetic preferences and achieve your goals.
For some homeowners, that means maximizing backyard privacy, while others may prefer a more open or decorative design that establishes a boundary without completely separating the property from its surroundings. You can also incorporate gates and other outdoor features to meet your needs.
After you’ve finalized your design choices, our experienced installers will install your wood fence with precision, following industry best practices to deliver long-lasting results. We’ll carefully set the posts, install the fence sections, and account for slopes, uneven ground, retaining walls, and transitions.
Since 1968, the team at Chesterfield Fence & Deck has helped homeowners and businesses throughout the St. Louis metro and surrounding communities improve their properties with professionally installed fencing. We can help you design a wood fence that fits your preferences while balancing privacy, visual appeal, and durability.
